St Patrick's Before & After School Care

Dreamcatchers were a huge hit this week with children creating all different types. This activity is a great way for children to get creative and use different skills such as hand eye coordination, knot tying, wrapping and threading. 

Sensory tub of shaving cream and essential oils with glitter was a great calming experience for two children at a time, playing with shaving foam is a lovely sensory play activity. The benefits of sensory play can reduce tactile sensitivity in children, which translates to better experiences with clothing and food later on. It helps develop fine motor skills and build strength in their fingers and hands. 

Mobilo is always  popular, this week  the children creating the longest train. Hairdressers is always great to see children role playing, doing different hairstyles and lots of plaits and braids. 

Before & After School Program:

Dear Families,

We’ve had a very positive start to the year, welcoming many new and returning families. As a reminder, if you think you may need to use Before or After School Care, we kindly ask that you complete an enrolment form for each child.

Lately, we’ve had several children arriving at the program without a booking. To ensure the health and safety of all children and maintain staff ratios, it’s important that we know in advance who will be attending and have their emergency contact and health information on file.

Additionally, if your child is attending the program, please remind them so they arrive on time. As part of our safety procedures, we are required to phone emergency contacts for late arrivals and notify the police if children have not arrived by 4:00pm.

Kingston Council is proud to partner with St Patrick’s Catholic Primary School to offer a fun and exciting Before and After School Program that operates each day of the school term (excluding public holidays) in a supervised, relaxed, safe and fun environment. Each program has a dedicated Qualified Educator along with our highly qualified and experienced Educator team. Sessions offer a mix of structured and unstructured indoor and outdoor games, art, craft, cooking and special events.

Children are provided with a heathy and delicious breakfast in the Before School Program and nutritious afternoon tea during the After School Program. To make After School Care even more fun incursions and special visitors are a regular feature,  past special incursions have included Bunnings workshops, Yoga, visits by Local Sporting Teams and Silent Disco to name a few..
