Student Leadership Day

Mount Pleasant Road,  Parkhill, and Kerrimuir Primary School came together for a special Student Leadership Day.

The teachers from Kerrimuir took charge of organising the day, crafting an engaging program centered on developing key leadership skills. The students participated in various activities that emphasised working collaboratively with others, enhancing their public speaking abilities, and setting meaningful goals for the future.

Throughout the day, the students were actively involved in hands-on exercises designed to challenge them and build their confidence. Whether it was practicing public speaking in front of their peers, learning how to listen and collaborate effectively, or setting personal goals for self-improvement, the students gained valuable insights that will surely help them grow as leaders.

The students enjoyed a fun and relaxing break with hot dogs and icy poles, which gave everyone a chance to unwind and bond further. It was fantastic to witness the level of collaboration between students from all schools, as they worked together seamlessly and supported each other throughout the activities.

By the end of the day, the students not only learned important leadership skills but also formed new friendships and connections. The event was a true success, showcasing the power of teamwork and the potential that lies in young leaders when given the right guidance and encouragement. It was wonderful to see the students leaving the day with newfound confidence, skills, and a sense of accomplishment, ready to apply their leadership lessons in their schools and communities. Let's see what comes next.......
