OSHCLUB News
At the end of last week, children took part in choosing and organizing the clubs, sharing their ideas for activities and shaping what each session would look like. It was great to see them take ownership and have a voice in our program!
This week, we officially launched our OSHClub Weekly Clubs, and it’s been amazing to see the enthusiasm from all the children! Each day has been filled with creativity, teamwork, and fun as we explored a variety of activities tailored to different interests.
Cooking Club (Monday): Our young chefs took on a special challenge this week—designing their own recipes based on the Australian Dietary Guidelines! It was fantastic to see them thinking about balanced meals while getting creative in the kitchen.
Sports Club (Tuesday): We hit the field for a fun and energetic cricket session! The children practiced their batting, bowling, and teamwork skills while enjoying the sunshine and friendly competition.
Arts & Crafts Club : Creativity was flowing as children experimented with different materials to bring their artistic ideas to life.
STEM Club (Thursday): From hands-on experiments to exciting building challenges, our little scientists and engineers were hard at work solving problems and making discoveries.
Mindfulness Club (Friday): We wrapped up the week with some relaxing and mindful activities, helping everyone wind down and focus on well-being.
Family Suggestions
At OSHClub, we deeply value our families and community and would love to incorporate more family voices into our program. Whether it's a cherished family recipe we can cook together, a creative art activity, or any other idea, we would greatly appreciate your input!
Feel free to share your suggestions in our journal, located in the parent sign-in area, and we’ll do our best to bring them to life. Your contributions help make our program even more special!
Friday Fundays
We celebrated love and friendship with Valentine’s Day-themed activities for last weeks Friday funday, including craft, games, and a special treat to end the week on a sweet note!
Next Friday Funday: All Around the World! Get ready for a global adventure as we explore different cultures, games, and traditions from around the world!
Please see our upcoming Friday funday flyers:
Sun Smart Policy
As the weather warms up, our afternoon program begins to move outdoors more often. As school hats generally need to be kept in classroom tubs, please make sure your child has a spare sun smart hat for OSHClub in their school bag. We have Cancer Council and Coles sunscreen on hand but children are welcome to bring their own if they wish. Hats and sunscreen will be worn when the UV rating is at 3 or above.
Drop off/Pick up
Parents/ guardians are required to sign children in for Rise and Shine sessions and sign children out of Stay and Play sessions using the service iPad. Please ensure you are coming to the room when dropping your children to Rise then Shine or holiday program. Please do not let them walk by themselves.

Bookings
Online bookings for Rise then Shine and Stay and Play sessions close 24 hours in advance. Online bookings for the Holiday Program and Curriculum Days close 5 days in advance.
If online bookings have closed, and you would like to make or cancel a booking, please SMS the program phone on 0427 144 945.
Cancellation of Bookings
IMPORTANT: If your child is booked in for an afternoon Stay and Play session and that booking is no longer required, please cancel the booking on the iParent Portal. If you are cancelling on the day, please contact us on the program phone before 3:15pm.
We are responsible for all children booked into our care. If a child does not arrive after school care when booked in to attend, we will need to confirm the whereabouts of the child by contacting parents/guardians and emergency contacts. If we cannot successfully do this, it then becomes a missing child incident.
As you can imagine, this can be very stressful!
Thanks for your cooperation by notifying us of any Stay and Play absences.
