SACSA Cross Country
Yesterday, students from Years 4 to 6 proudly represented Good Shepherd Lutheran School at the SACSA Cross Country event, held at Carisbrooke Reserve, Salisbury Park.
Competing against students from Christian schools across South Australia, our students demonstrated outstanding perseverance, teamwork, and school spirit across challenging distances ranging from 1.5km to 3km.
We are excited to share some outstanding results from the day:
- Amreen achieved 3rd place in the 2015 girls individual category.
- Isabelle, Amreen and Macy placed 2nd in the 2015 girls team event.
We are incredibly proud of all our runners for their commitment and sportsmanship.
A big thank you to our staff and families for their support, and congratulations to all students who participated in this event.
GS Warriors (Basketball)
After a great performance and win in our first game back last week, the Warriors lined up for the second game back against Prescott Thunder. Thunder started the game one player short which also affected our team and we got off to a sluggish start. The teamwork and movement of the ball was great, but things just weren’t quite clicking. After an early time out from the other team and their fifth player arriving things started to click into gear. Some great defence by the team which was led by Tennyson's example, resulting in multiple quick turn overs and at half time we were leading 23-4.
The second half, the Warriors continued to dominate the game and through more strong defending and great teamwork, were able to finish the game 40-4 winners.
Nate 13, Flynn 8, Eden 7, Shayla & Tennyson 4, Charlie & Shaurya 2.
GS Roos (Soccer)
The GS Roos played another great game this week. There were some big kicks to get the ball into our half and some improvement with skills down the sidelines. Koh scored our only goal and the score was 1-3.
Well done, Roos!! You're growing in skills and confidence each week.
