God's Love Is For Everyone

The story of the prodigal son is about a man who made some really bad choices. He left his family, wasted all his money, and ended up eating what the pig's ate! But when he came back home - tired, dirty, and probably pretty smelly - his dad didn’t yell or tell him to go away. His dad ran to him, hugged him and then threw a party! It was because his son had gone and had come back home! He was lost, but now he was found! Definitely something worth celebrating!

This story shows us what God is like. When we make mistakes, God doesn’t give up on us. He’s not waiting to get angry. He’s waiting to welcome us back with love and a big open heart. And that’s the good news - we are never too far gone for God’s love.

No matter what we’ve done, God is always ready to forgive us, welcome us, and even celebrate us! 

So, we should celebrate too! Celebrate that God loves us, celebrate when people choose to follow Him and celebrate when we see kindness, love and forgiveness in action! 

The good news is that Gods love is for everyone, and that is a good reason to celebrate. 

Prayer Seminar at Good Shepherd

We would like to invite you to a day of teaching and prayer facilitated by Pastor Wayne Kerber on Saturday 31st May, 9.30am-4pm, here at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Para Vista.  Attending this day will provide you with an opportunity to gather with others and share in a passion for prayer and healing.  

Join us for an opportunity to learn more about conversation with God, and how to look at whole lives and deal with root problems, for ourselves and for others. 

All are welcome to attend this free event, with a light lunch provided.
