Heavenly Father,

We thank You for the gift of mothers, whose love reflects Your own. Bless them with strength, patience, and joy. May they feel appreciated and supported in all they do. Guide them with wisdom and surround them with Your peace.

A Beautiful Blessing

Motherhood is a profound blessing, filled with both joy and challenges. Whether you're a mother of one or many, an adoptive or foster mother, a single mum, a godmother, an aspiring mother, a spiritual mother, or a grandmother, you're not alone on this journey.

Mary, the mother of Jesus, stands as a timeless role model for all mothers. Her unwavering faith and courage in embracing God's plan, even amidst uncertainty, exemplify the strength inherent in motherhood. 

Motherhood often requires sacrifices—be it skipping a weekend coffee to attend your child's sports game, taking on extra work to support the family, or navigating the complexities of modern life. These acts of love, though sometimes unnoticed, shape the lives of those we care for.

Mary's journey wasn't without pain. Witnessing her son's suffering and death, she remained steadfast in faith, leaning on her community for support. Her example teaches us the importance of resilience and the strength found in communal bonds during times of hardship.

This May, as we honour Mother's Day, let's reflect on Mary's example and the mothers in our lives. Whether they're with us or have passed on, we can express our gratitude through prayer, kind words, or simple acts of appreciation.

To all mothers and mother figures: your love, sacrifices, and unwavering support are deeply valued. May you feel celebrated and cherished, not just today, but every day.
