Musical Joke of the Week

What kind of music scares balloons?..

Pop Music!

How lucky we are to once again be able to offer a Performing Arts program here at Sacred Heart! It has been such a pleasure to jump into this new role and spend time getting to know all our students across the school and ignite a passion for all things musical and theatrical so far this year.

This year, I have been very fortunate to be working alongside Senorina Cardamone to pair our performing arts program with our language program.

Grazie Senorina!

This term, in our Music units, students will be exploring, experimenting and learning to make sound with various instruments. We have blown the dust off our school instruments and have been learning all about different types of instruments and their families. Woodwind, Strings, Percussion and Brass, just to name a few.

Our instrument of the week is the Glockenspiel! Check out this awesome video of our Year 3 students working together.

Senior Choir

Our small but passionate school choir has been working hard to develop their performance skills in preparation for upcoming school events. With each rehearsal, they’re growing in confidence, project their voices, and connect with their audience. It has been such a blessing to work with this group of students so far this year and we are looking forward to continuing to build and perform throughout the year.

Singing, dancing and signing off!
