Assistant Principal's Report

Mitch Harris

Transition 6 - 7

We hosted our information to parents/guardians evening on the 30th of April. For people that could not attend we have copies of the information booklet available at the office. If anyone would like a school tour, please contact the school office.

Uniform Expectations

Maintaining a high standard of uniform is important. Please check the following before students leave home:

  • School Uniform – Only approved uniform items are permitted (no CFA jumpers, sports shirts, etc).
  • Footwear – Black school shoes are required. PE students must wear appropriate sports shoes for safety; bare feet are not allowed.
  • Uniform Fit – Items should be worn as designed. The length of skirts or shorts must meet school guidelines, and students should not roll up uniform pieces.
  • Respect for Uniform – Students must take care of their uniform. If an item is damaged, replacement uniforms are available locally. Students should also maintain the required length of uniform to ensure that it is suitable for school.
  • SunSmart – During Terms 1 and 4, hats are required when outdoors. Borrowed hats must be returned after each break.

Parents/guardians wishing to discuss uniform concerns should contact Student Engagement Leaders.

Year 7 & 8 - Vicky Levesque

Year 9 & 10 - Jenny Farrington

Year 11 & 12 - Shantelle Stimson

Parent Volunteer Opportunities

Parent engagement in secondary school often decreases compared to primary school. However, we have numerous opportunities for parents to support our school community. These opportunities include:

  • Volunteering for sports excursions
  • Assisting with school tours
  • Offering expertise for classroom talks

If you wish to offer your time and expertise, please contact the front office. They will direct your offer to the appropriate person. As we are a child-safe school, there are specific requirements that will be explained to you.
