Last week, on Thursday and Friday, May 8th and 9th, 2025, our school hosted a spectacular Mother's Day breakfast event that left everyone in attendance with full hearts and satisfied appetites. The event was a resounding success, thanks to the dedicated efforts of our Year 11 Certificate II in Hospitality students, who showcased their skills and professionalism in serving meals, pouring drinks, and catering to the massive crowd of students and mothers.
The breakfasts were held in the Champagnat Centre, which was beautifully presented to create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The tables were adorned with fresh flowers and elegant table settings, adding a touch of sophistication to the event. The menu featured a variety of delicious options, including a breakfast burger and hash brown, with a selection of beverages such as coffee, tea, and juice.
Our Year 11 Hospitality students were the stars of the show. They arrived early each morning to prepare the food and set up the dining area. Throughout the event, they demonstrated their culinary and service skills by efficiently serving meals and drinks to the attendees. Their ability to manage the large crowd with grace and professionalism was truly impressive.
This event provided the students with a valuable opportunity to apply the skills they have learned in their Certificate II in Hospitality course. They were able to practice food safety and hygiene, customer service, and teamwork in a real-world setting. The experience was not only educational but also incredibly rewarding, as they received positive feedback from the guests and saw the direct impact of their hard work.
The Mother's Day breakfasts were more than just a meal; they were a celebration of community and family. Mothers and students alike enjoyed the chance to spend quality time together, sharing stories and creating memories. The event also highlighted the importance of hospitality and service, demonstrating how these skills can bring people together and create a positive atmosphere.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Year 11 Hospitality students for their dedication and hard work under the direction of Ms Going and Mrs Gooley. Their efforts made the Mother's Day breakfasts a memorable experience for everyone involved. We also thank the teachers and staff who supported the students and helped organise the event.
As we look back on these wonderful breakfasts, we are reminded of the power of hospitality to create connections and bring joy to our community. We are incredibly proud of our students and look forward to seeing them continue to grow and excel in their hospitality studies.
