You may not see them at first, but they're there. Threads. It is the connection we feel wearing the Blue and Gold. It runs through our classrooms, across the ovals, into the Chapel. It is the laughs between mates after a tough day.
At Marist College Ashgrove we're more than just boarders, we're brothers. Bound by the values of Presence, Simplicity, Family Spirit and Love of Work.
These are the threads that connect us, past, present and future. They connect our youngest boarders with our seniors. Current students to Old Boys. Our threads connect each of us, not just to each other but to the world beyond these gates. Through every challenge we face every win we celebrate every act of service or moment on field, we discover what it means to belong, to lead with courage to care without question to grow together And when our time here ends, those threads don’t break, they travel with us and the choices we make the friendships we keep and the faith we carry forward.
At Marist Ashgrove we're stitched into something greater - a legacy of connection that lives on in all of us. Because at Ashgrove every thread matters.
(Excerpt from yesterday's National Boarding Week social media story)
We're in the midst of celebrating National Boarding Week. Be sure to look up as you enter the College via Moola Road. You'll see a wonderful display of colour, illustrating our commitment to our boarders, particularly with celebrating the life and colour they bring to our Marist Family. A huge and heartfelt thanks to Mrs Belinda Kerwin for leading the charge with the up-cycling of literal 'threads' into the Blue & Gold bunting connecting our boarding residences. - what a true gift you are to our community!
The College extends its thanks to all those who participated in the recent Enhancing Catholic School Identity (ECSI) Survey. We had a great response, with much useful data being gathered to inform our approach to providing a quality, relevant and life-giving Cahtolic education for our students.
Congratulations to the following parents who have won a $100 VISA Gift card through participating in the survey.

The College continues to work through our Cyclic Inquiry alongside other Marist Schools Australia (MSA) schools. Our inquiry now shifts towards focusing on mechanisms for learning and teaching improvement. As such, we will be inviting all families, students and staff to participate in a Diagnostic Inventory of School Alignment (DISA) survey.
Further information will be issued directly to parents, including how to sign-up for the survey…..AND WIN!
This time around, respondents will enter the draw for one of ten $50 tuckshop vouchers. We're hitting the road too, with free Grandstand Canteen lunches up for grabs for those who respond on the spot at designated home games this Rugby & Football season.
We are pleased to invite students to take part in the Sons of Old Boys Photo, which will be held on Wednesday 14 May during Break 1. The photo sessions will take place in the Champagnat Centre.
This tradition recognises the generations of families who have attended Marist College Ashgrove, and we encourage all eligible students to attend.
