Principal's Message

Dear Families,

We hope that all our students, families and staff had a restful and rejuvenating break.   

It has been fantastic to see the way students have settled back into their learning and we look forward to a successful Term 2.

2026 Prep Enrolments

If you have a child starting Prep in 2026 you can now enrol your child at Mooroolbark East Primary School.  If you would like to enrol your child please head to our school website and follow the appropriate instructions, or call into the office to collect the relevant information. Enrolments are now submitted online, but if you experience any difficulties we can still supply you with a paper form.

Year 6 Camp

Our Year 6 students will be heading off to CYC Adanac, Yarra Junction from Monday 5 May to 7 May.  Students will be able to engage in a variety of different activities including : Flying Fox • Canoeing • Target Archery • Mountain Boarding • Water Action Tower: • 110m Waterslide • Cage Soccer • Low Ropes Course • Campfire Areas • Indoor Tread Wall • Sports Oval • Orienteering • Trampolines • Thunder Hockey • Indoor Basketball & Volleyball • Disc Golf Course • Table Tennis • Beach Volleyball • Foosball.

 This camp ties in beautifully with the Grade 6 Term 1 inquiry unit (Leadership), where students will develop important interpersonal and leadership skills in a safe, fun and adventurous environment.

School Photos

School Photos have been completed this week and have run extremely smoothly.  If you have forgotten to order your child’s photo you can still contact Advancedlife to purchase your child’s school photo.

Dental Van

The Dental Van will be visiting us from Monday 5 May through to Friday 9 May.  Parents/Guardians should have been contacted regarding their child/ren’s scheduled time by the Dental Foundation.

Mother’s Day Stall

Our Mother's Day stall will be held on Friday 2 May and Monday 5 May giving students the opportunity to purchase a present.  Gifts are available from $1 to $10 and include a variety of items that Mums/Grandmas/Special People will love! The stall will also be open on Wednesday, 7th May from 3.30pm to 4pm for those children who were away sick or who want to purchase some extra items.
