Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) - Year 3

Next week, many of the Year Three students will receive the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) for the first time on Wednesday, 21st May, at 6 p.m. in the Church.

This year, through Fr Jerald's leadership and vision, all sacramental programs will be run as a Parish-based, Family-centred, School-supported Sacramental Program. This new structure will ensure that both the home and the parish play a central role in preparing your child to receive the sacraments, while also enabling the school to provide essential support.

The feedback and engagement of families with Year 3 student preparing for the Sacarament has been positive and encouraging.

As school community we continue to keep our Year 3 students in our prayers around the special time in their faith journey.

Parents' Association - Thank You

Over the last couple of weeks, our wonderful Parents' Association has been working hard with running event that support our school and children through fundraising and community engagement.  Check out St Simon's PA page to see what has been happening, including the Election Day BBQ and Mother's Day Stall!

School Review

The work involving the school review continues to take place this Term. In early May, we had a very successful and productive two-day visit from our external school reviewer.  Thank you to the members of the school community who engaged with the school reviewer, including students, staff, parents and parishioners.  As part of the process, there is a feedback session scheduled for school leadership to engage with at the end of this Term.  Following this, we will begin the work of formulating the next 4-year school improvement plan that aligns with the Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) 2030 Plan
