Parents' Association

A massive week last week with Cross Country and the Election BBQ and Cake stall. The cross country was a hit. It was a beautiful day, the kids ran fast with smiles on their faces. It was the PA parents pleasure to be there to reward all the kids with some well earned fruit after they had finished. Thanks to Bushy Park who donated us an extra box of apples - we even had some leftovers to sell something healthy at the cake stall the next day!
Thanks to all of the families that made the effort to bake and bring food to school. The selection was amazing and so many happy people walking away with goodies. The cake stall wouldn't happen without all of you as well as the volunteers on Friday that help wrap, label, price and display the goods, then all of the volunteers on Saturday to help us sell cakes and worked the BBQs. But also to those who were there at 7am and then the close of the day to set up and pack up - it was tiring but worth it.
We should be proud as Syndal South is known for our cake stall. I heard a number of people that just came for the stall as they had already voted elsewhere. It was pretty hard to resist the smell of the sausages as people were standing in line - many broke rank so they could have their democracy sausage whilst waiting to vote. The last I heard we made over $4000 - amazing effort.
This Friday we have our Mothers Day stall - make sure the kids come with some money so they can spoil their mums. We are still after some volunteers to assist with the stall - it's always such a great day to help out watching the kids trying to choose what to get for their mum. If you're worried about seeing what your child is getting you - don't worry we can cover that class so it remains a surprise!
