Principal's Report

We, at Miners Rest Primary School, would like to acknowledge the Wadawurrung people of the Kulin Nation.
We pay our respects and thank the Wadawurrung people.
May we share your land. We promise to look after it, as well as the animals and people too.
Mother's Day
I trust that all of the special women in our school community felt pampered and loved last Sunday. Please remember to pop the date of the Significant Women's Assembly in your diary. This assembly will take place at 2:30pm on Friday May 23, followed by Open Classrooms across the school - everybody is most welcome!
Staffing
We welcome Kate Antonio to our staff as she takes on the role of Performing Arts teacher, partnering with Linda Duke. Both Kate and Linda will teach two days per week to ensure all students receive weekly sessions of Music/Performing Arts. As a regular Casual Relief Teacher throughout our school, Kate has already established great relationships with the students and is excited to be part of the Specialist Team. Welcome Kate!
We also farewell Hannah Shepperson, a member of our Education Support Staff. Hannah has been working in B4 this year and has established supportive and positive connections with stduents and staff at Miners Rest Primary School. We wish Hannah all the very best as she transitions into Early Childhood Education. Thank you, and all the very best, Hannah.
School Photo Day
Next Monday is School Photo Day - a day to capture a memory. Please ensure that your child/ren are in full school uniform for this special day. Thank you for your support.
Enjoy the rest of the week,
Kylie Nissen.
