Engaging in our Faith
Lenten Labyrinth - a silent walk with your child to pause and pray one step at a time...
Year 1 - Year 6 parents!! Walk the labyrinth with your child's class on Thursday 7th March. It will be set up at the back of our hall. Specific times see below OR walk it on Sunday 10th March after 10.15 am weekend Mass. All faiths invited to be part of this initiative. Don't know what a labyrinth is all about? Why not come and experience this ancient prayer walk with your child? Lent is a time to practice the pause. Let's do it together!
Expressions of interest: Introducing "Seasons for Growth". This is a beautiful series of educational lessons for students who have experienced grief, loss and change more than 6 months ago. This could mean the death of a family member, separation or divorce of parents, a new school or a new country. Whatever the reason, students will learn that life is about change and that they are not alone. I have been trained to be a Seasons "companion ". I accompany the children on this journey. It is not counselling but rather education about change and how to deal with it. Does this sound like your child could benefit from being in a small group with others going through change too? If so, why not see mackillopseasons.org.au for more information or email me. If you are keen to have them involved, please email asap. We need a minimum of 4 students to start a group.

THANK YOU!
Congratulations to the Holy Family Community!
Together we raised $996.95 for Caritas on Rice Day. This is a great effort!
Our donation will make a difference to our brothers and sisters in need.
We are grateful to Mrs Gray and her team of parent volunteers who bought rice and rice cokkers, prepared and served the rice to the school community. Without their help, we would not have been able to participate in this outreach initative. Thanks so much! Thank you also to our Mission Leaders for raising awareness of Caritas within our school community and promoting Rice Day so well.
PRAYER DURING LENT
Lent is a good time to build a daily prayer habit. Prayer is a "vital and personal relationship with the living and true God" (CCC #2558). To pray, we should open up a space in our daily life to speak and listen to the gentle voice of God. As with any relationship, for it to grow we need to make time to get to know the other. God is always waiting and will always meet us wherever we are.
Enjoy your time with God this week!
