From Mrs Maguire

I have been so proud of the way the Foundation students have embraced Rigour Time in the morning. They come into the room and, after putting away their belongings and placing their face on our emotions chart, begin with letter formation activities and then Rainbow Maths. The students appear to enjoy the independence of organising their own resources and working on activities with a partner.

I was very disappointed that we had to postpone the Teddy Bear Picnic due to the extreme heat but am looking forward to a fun filled night on the 20th of March.

What We Are Learning

Reminders

  • Please record and date your child’s reading at home in their yellow reading logbook.
  • Please send a library bag to school as we are now in full swing of going to the library and borrowing books.
  • Please send your child every day to school with a water bottle.

Try This...

Play card games and other games involving dice (such as Snakes and Ladders), or maps, shapes and money. You can also read stories and notice the mathematics – the sequence of events, and the descriptions of characters and settings.
