From the Principal
Welcome to Week 4, where we are settling back in after a hugely successful camps week for Years 10, 11 and 12.
Our Secondary students travelled all over the nation to Canberra, Victoria, and Maria Island, and while I hear there was some very windy nights and a few blown over tents on Maria Island, overall, the trips were a big success.
I enjoyed the opportunity to attend the Year 12 trip to Melbourne, and while I was impressed with the agenda and activities, it was mainly the attitude and behaviour of our young people that made the trip outstanding.
These significant learning opportunities for our students wouldn’t be possible without the hard work and sacrifice of all the teachers and support staff that organised and carried out these camps, so I would like to say a huge thank you to all involved. Our school is blessed by these efforts.
So, this week I’d like to let you know that we are excited to share with our parent community that our LCS Website has had a 'face lift'. Our Marketing & Communications team have been working hard behind the scenes considering the functionality and needs of our current and future families. I want to thank them for their vision to see this project through to completion. Over the course of the next few weeks a few more tweaks and updates will be put in place, and we value your feedback. Please email any comments or suggestions to petersr@lcs.tas.edu.au
No matter where you are on the school's website, you can now find The Hub portal on the top right-hand corner. We would like to remind our school community that The Hub is the central point for all communication at LCS. This is why we have made it easily accessible.
The Calendar, Herald, Hub and Parent Lounge links are available in the footer section.
