Wellness Week
WOW - What a week!
This invitation to students to learn and participate in a variety of activities was an exciting addition to their learning week - Taste It Tuesday and Fill Up Your Cup Friday were great successes.
Thank you to Mrs Trewick for purchasing the food for us to try.
Thank you to Lorraine for preparing the food.
Thank you to our Year 6 leaders for serving it to everyone.
Having families join us on Friday was a fabulous opportunity for connection and we loved seeing so many faces in our classrooms ~
Courage & Crowns
From Megan:
There will be schools that really get it…the importance of teaching young women about self-love.
Kindness to self.
Kindness to others.
Kindness to the world.
There will be schools who understand how the learnings will flow into the classrooms, the yard and home life.Rochy is one of those schools. Just have a look at the words they added to their post
“When we take the time we connect. When we make the time, we are amazing together.”
Blitz
Our BLITZ focus will be on FEELINGS and being aware of our own feelings as well as the feelings of others.
When we can see our others are happy we can celebrate with them, when we see others who are not happy we don’t add to their feeling and give them space they may need to find their happy again.
Graduate Outcome
The focus for all learning spaces will be showing we are INCLUSIVE.
When we are proactive in creating a community of being ‘includers’, it gives everyone the change to connect and belong - a basic human need.
Attendance
PBIS
As part of our school wide Positive Behaviour Framework students collect GOTCHAS for showing their excellence in our areas of expectation; safe, respectful and responsible. This term Year 6 leaders were given the opportunity to make changes to the class reward incentive choices. The Wellbeing team then worked closely with Mrs Carmichael to align the new reward options with GOTCHA amounts. Well done Wellbeing Team ~

DOGS CONNECT
Sully has really enjoyed being back at school and the students have enjoyed having Sully in his space. He is spending more time in more classrooms this year with the aim to have him moving through all the classrooms during the week.
Sully spent some time watching the students learning and playing soccer during community connections.
