Relay for Life

Lynda Hudson

Saturday 24 February and Sunday 25 February saw a team of Year 10 students join together to keep the College baton moving for 20 hours at the recent Cancer Council's Relay for Life event. Over the last few months students had been busy working hard in raising significant funds for those in need and to assist the Cancer Council in their fight to find a cure for cancer.

This year's team saw our students raise an amazing $9,616.37 demonstrating their passion to assist those in need.

Mount Carmel College has been participating in Relay for Life since 2013 and it was wonderful to see a number of our alumni continue to form their own teams years after their initial participation.

I would like to take this moment to thank the Mount Carmel College Community for their support in this event every year. It is always a pleasure to be present with the students and see them grow into strong young people wanting to make a difference in the world.
