Jane Martens: Head of Digital Pedagogy and Innovation

We are thrilled to announce and extend our heartfelt congratulations to our Head of Digital Pedagogy and Innovation, Jane Martens, for being selected as a semifinalist for the AI Educator Awards by MagicSchool! Jane has been at the forefront of innovation, leading the way at Mount Alvernia College to ensure that we are well-prepared and future-ready for the advancements in AI technology. Being recognised as one of the exclusive semifinalists for the first annual AI Educator Awards is a well-deserved honour for Jane. Her passion, commitment, and expertise in the field have truly made a difference in the educational landscape at Mount Alvernia College. We take immense pride in having Jane as a leader on our team.

Jen Gibbons - Head of Faculty - Health & Science

A resounding congratulations to Jen Gibbons, our exceptional Head of Health and Science, on her recent achievement of securing a coveted spot in the NSW Hockey team. What's more, Jen has not only earned a place on the team but has also been bestowed with the significant responsibility of serving as Captain. Congratulations Jen, we wish you the best of luck!

 

James O'Gorman 

A warm round of applause and sincere congratulations to James O'Gorman for his outstanding contribution to the ACHPER Early Careers Workshop! James, who was recognized as the 2022 Early Careers ACHPER QLD Teacher of the Year, brought his wealth of knowledge and expertise to the workshop after successfully presenting at the ACHPER conference in 2022. In this recent workshop, James shared invaluable insights with early career HPE (Health and Physical Education) teachers on the theme of "Setting Yourself and Students Up for Success." Well done, James!
