Year 10 Experience University Day

As part of the post school transition program students in Year 10 have been undertaking ‘futures’ lessons based on promoting their understanding of the ‘world of work’. Part of the transition program includes exposing students to further study opportunities, post school. To that end, as part of this College program, Year 10s will attend the “Year 10 – Experience University Day” on Friday 26 April, hosted by the University of Queensland (UQ). In addition to orientating students to the UQ campus, students will participate in hands-on workshops across learning areas, to build their understanding of possible career pathways post school.

As this is a compulsory school event, all students are expected to attend. There will be no onsite supervision or classes for Year 10 students on this day, between Home Room and Period 4. Students will return in time for Period 5 classes.

Parents are asked to provide permission for this offsite excursion via MyMtA by Tuesday 15 March. Please follow this link for instructions on how to grant your permission for your child.
