Most of our students attended with their families, enjoying free tattoos, a jumping castle and many delectable delights. We enjoyed connecting with our friends and sharing in the fun with others. I was particularly impressed watching students of SFX proudly sell their delicious treats made in Cooking Club as well as worm wee from the Gardening Club.
We have chosen the two SRC Leaders for our class, they are Ellie and Hannah! Congratulations girls, I am certain you will represent our class with integrity and pride.
We have finished our maths topic of 'time' with all students actively participating to explore what time is and learn that it is more than just a clock! We have now moved on to our new topic of 'addition and subtraction'. The students really enjoyed practising a game called Tenzie to make partitions of ten, twenty, one hundred and one thousand.
We were fortunate to have four Fireman from the Frankston Fire Department join us to share what they do. They showed us interactive videos and live demonstrations about how they help others within the community, and even shared what we should do when there is a fire. It was great to see the kids get involved!
On Tuesday the 12th of March the Grade 1/2's attended Mass at St Francis Xavier Church. The students enjoyed engaging with others from the broader community and having a special role within the service on the day. Remy and Anissa each both read a Prayer of Intercession with great confidence! Well done to all who attended, it is excellent to see how respectful you are at mass.
Attached are some photos of the students completing their Easter Story wheels.
