Senior Students dive into Integrated learning

This Semester students in Grades 5 and 6 have been heavily invested into learning about Citizenship, Federation, Laws and Politics.

This week, all students, for the first time, met in the communal area of the Senior Building to start a task which has students from all classes combined. After being taught about the preferential voting system, how political parties form government and how elections run, students have formed their own political party, as we look forward to running our own election for fun.

Over the next few weeks, the parties will be given a number of scenarios that they have to conquer before we hold our own election. This also links in well with their literacy skills, as they will be working to persuade others to vote for them. As you can see from the photos posted, the parties are already planning their campaign strategies!
