As we approach the end of Term 2, I would like to acknowledge some of the outstanding work that has been happening in our school community. I want to pay tribute to our exceptional teaching staff and the amazing learning support staff who assist students in classes every day. The consistent professionalism, energy, and care they demonstrate in creating positive learning environments is enormous, and they continue to look for ways to support the learning growth of every student at our school.
Our teachers, no matter how busy they are, always find time to work with students and their colleagues to ensure each person is known and feels supported. This strong culture of collegiality and collaboration is something new staff often comment on, and it's one of the many reasons our school is such a special place to learn and work. We are truly fortunate to be part of a community where care for others is not just a value, but a lived experience every day.
Planning for the 2026 school year is well underway, and a review of our elective subject offerings has taken place. Learning Area Leaders have proposed updates and new additions to the curriculum, guided by student interests and a commitment to providing a broad and engaging range of subjects.
The updated Curriculum Handbook will be available during the week of our Pathways Evening, taking place on Tuesday 29 July. We strongly encourage all families to review this important document, which will be accessible via the College website and through a link on SIMON. We look forward to welcoming all families of students entering Years 9 to 12 in 2026 to our Pathways Evening. It’s a valuable opportunity to explore subject choices and gain insights into the next stage of your child’s learning journey.
Congratulations to our Year 9 to 12 students for their efforts during the mid-year exams. These assessments provide a valuable opportunity for students to apply their knowledge and skills, while also helping teachers evaluate the effectiveness of their teaching over the semester.
This term, our Year 10 students have been actively engaged in work experience, and our VCE/VM students have participated in work placements. These real-world opportunities allow students to explore different career paths and gain firsthand insight into various workplaces as they begin to consider their future directions.
Thank you for your ongoing partnership in helping our students rise to high expectations with care, dedication, and commitment.
Enjoy a safe and restful term break.
