NAIDOC Week

Term 2, Week 10

This week we celebrate NAIDOC Week with this year's theme being "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy".

NAIDOC Cup

Our Yr 4/5/6W class were invited to take part in the NAIDOC celebrations at Walhallow Public School and compete in the Annual NAIDOC Cup.  We were victorious on the day winning the NAIDOC Cup once again after losing the title to Willow Tree Public School in 2024. Congratulations Team Werris Creek it is a great honor, and we are glad to hold the title once more.  Thank you to all of the other participating schools for your great sportsmanship.  It was a fantastic competition.  Thank you to Mrs B and Walhallow Public School for hosting a wonderful day.  We look forward to joining you again next year.

NAIDOC Assembly, Flag Raising and Cake Cutting Ceremony

This morning, we held our NAIDOC Assembly, Flag Raising & Cake Cutting Ceremony in the school hall.  Thank you to Mr Micham Neave, for addressing our assembly about this year's NAIDOC theme "The Next Generation: Strength, Vision & Legacy".

NAIDOC Celebrations and BBQ at

Werris Creek MPS

This afternoon, our Yr 4/5/6 W students went to the Werris Creek MPS to celebrate NAIDOC Week with the residents.  Our students had a lovely time, playing board games, enjoying a sausage sandwich and a piece of cake and conversing with the residents, hearing their stories and life experiences.  Thank you to Ms Vanessa Saunders for organising and inviting our school to this event.
