Sport

It’s been another busy fortnight in PE at Rangeview as we head into the final week of Term 2.
Eastern Regional Cross Country
It was a brilliant day in the sunshine at the Regional Cross Country in Yarra Glen, with Team Rangeview proudly taking on the top runners from across the Eastern region.
A huge congratulations to all eight of our students who qualified for Regionals, an incredible achievement. Each runner gave their absolute best and represented our school with determination & grit.
A special mention to Rayani Level 4, who finished on the podium in 2nd place, and Collette Level 6, who came 4th, both will now progress to the State Championships! Special shoutout as well to Lucinda M in Level 3 who finished 13th as a younger runner! We are so proud of their outstanding efforts and can’t wait to see them at State next month! Thank you as well to our families for all their support.
Well done, Team Rangeview!
Senior Hoop Time!
What a fantastic day we had at Senior Hoop Time with our Level 5/6 students today. The competition was fierce, but our teams gave it their all, demonstrating outstanding sportsmanship and skill throughout the day.
A huge congratulations to our All Star Girls, Future Stars Girls, and Future Stars Boys, who all triumphed in their respective Grand Finals and have earned a well-deserved spot at Regionals in Term 4!
A special mention also to our All Star Boys, who missing players still finished as Runners Up and have also qualified for the Regional Finals!
The effort, dedication and behaviour from all teams on the day was exceptional, and every player should be proud of their performance. Win or lose, each team displayed fantastic teamwork and determination.
Thank you to all the RPS staff, parent coaches, and the wider RPS community for your support on the day.
Go Rangeview!
Level 5/6 SEPEP Volleyball
Our Level 5/6 students recently wrapped up their SEPEP (Sport Education in Physical Education Program) unit on Volleyball, which saw classes take on roles as players, coaches, referees, scorers, and statisticians across a fantastic student-led tournament.
Congratulations to our overall champions coming from 6A, who showed outstanding teamwork and consistency throughout the competition! A special mention goes to our Best and Fairest players from each class, as voted by their peers, a reflection of both skill and sportsmanship. Thank you to Horsh Williams for generously providing Hungry Jack’s vouchers to our best and fairest winners, a very popular reward!
Level 5/6 Inter-school Sports
Our over 215 Level 5/6 students had a fantastic time during the first day of inter-school sports last Friday. More than 22 Rangeview teams proudly represented the school, showcasing their determination, teamwork, humility, and sportsmanship while having so much fun. Competing in six different sports, our teams achieved terrific results, with many advancing to today's finals to determine if they progress to Division next term. Thank you to all the staff and families that make these days possible. Good luck and go Rangeview!
