Junior School Semester One reports will be available for parents to view this Friday, 13 June at 4.00 pm. Parent/Teacher interviews will take place next Tuesday, 17 June and in the last week of term, Tuesday 24 June, from 3.30 pm to 6.00 pm. Demand for bookings has been solid. We strongly encourage all parents and guardians attending interviews to read the Semester One report prior to meeting with the teachers.
Congratulations to all students who took part in the music section of the 61st Hamilton Eisteddfod. The excellent results were a wonderful return for the efforts our students put in, and our talented Music teachers - Mrs. Christie, Mrs. Francine Bell, Mr. Singh, Mr. Lica, Mr. Hansen and Mrs. Salt. Well done to all.
Our ELC Piccino group have been regular visitors to the College’s Mirranatwa block. They love the opportunity to explore the outdoors. On Tuesday 17 June and Tuesday 24 June, our Year 6 class will venture to this wonderful section of the Grampians to take part in a range of activities with Director of Outdoor Education, Mr. Jimmy Bell.
Next week is Wellness Week at College, where we will celebrate the following days:
There will be a range of planned activities at recess and lunch to promote Wellness Week. On Friday, we will head to the Senior Campus, where we will join as a whole school and enjoy a barbeque lunch, games and some midday music. We are all looking forward to this positive and engaging week. Thank you to Mrs. Milich, Mrs. Joanna Bell, Ms. Rovers and Mrs. Cameron for their efforts in organising the Junior School celebrations.
On Friday 20 June, Young House will hold a fundraiser to support ‘Red Dust”. Red Dust’s mission is to work together to enrich lives, improve health and strengthen the future of Indigenous youth and families. Students are requested to dress in casual clothes, wearing their most fabulous red and green and to bring a gold coin donation. There will also be a bake sale at recess with items selling for $1 or $2.
It is important we maintain high hygiene standards when handling food. The instances of dirty lunch order bags being sent to school is on the increase, particularly on Fridays. We request the red and blue bags are emptied of any rubbish and regularly washed before being sent back into school with lunch orders. In some cases, bags have been found to contain mouldy food items. Your support with this is appreciated.
This weekend’s matches:
Under 10 Falcons v Coleraine Maroon at 12.00 pm - Pedrina Park
Under 13 Hawks v Dunkeld-2.00 pm - Neil MacLean Field at College
Under 13 Eagles v Coleraine Gold - 3.30 pm at Pedrina Park
Congratulations to Elsie Dyer and Adelaide Farquharson who recently competed in the Greater Western Region Cross Country event. They both ran like the wind against competitors from Ballarat, Colac, Horsham, Casterton and everywhere in between. The girls finished in the middle of the field for their efforts and we are extremely proud of these results. Congratulations Elsie and Adelaide.
