Welcome to the final newsletter of Term 2! This term has flown by incredibly fast, filled with a packed schedule of events that kept us all busy. As the production approaches, it's time to showcase our dancing and singing talents. GWPS has begun auditions for drama, singing, and dancing, giving our Years 1-6 a special opportunity to express their talents.
This term was also significant as the CIS review took place. Our school was reviewed by Michael, a principal from Vietnam, and Helena, a CIS reviewer from South Australia. Recently, we held an open morning, where many parents came to see our learners' wellbeing practices in their culture. It was a special moment to see each student's unique perspective and experiences. Thank you to everyone who attended the open morning.
Another event that we have done this term is Mother's Day stall. It was a wonderful week for all mothers, filled with happiness and joy. In conclusion we raised about $900. Thank you for all the mothers that helped to make this happen.
Cross country has also been a successful event during Term 2. We had a lot of students making it to District and Division. In fact, we even had 2 students who made it to regional, and one to the State - how fantastic!
As we slowly move into Term 3 we are going to have tons of fun events like production, athletics day, year 6 Adanac camp, ICAS, New year 6 playground is coming together, and the Father’s Day Stall is also going to happen midway through Term 3.
In conclusion, we are coming to an end of an immensely successful term, and we are so close to the holidays. We are so excited for Term 3 as it will be filled with many new surprises.
