Taronga Zoo Excursion

This week on Tuesday, our students embarked on an exciting excursion to Taronga Zoo, where they had the opportunity to explore the wonders of the animal kingdom! From fascinating zoo keeper talks to up-close encounters with various wildlife, the day was filled with fun and discovery.

Students were captivated by the informative presentations from the zoo keepers, who shared their knowledge about animal behaviours and how they protect themselves in the wild. They even got to pat animals like snakes and lizards, creating unforgettable memories. One of the highlights was watching a pygmy possum nibble on its food, much to the delight of everyone!

Throughout the day, students explored the zoo, visiting incredible exhibits including the African savanna, the Great World Ocean, and the Australian habitats. Some classes were fortunate enough to catch the thrilling bird and seal shows, further enhancing their understanding of these amazing creatures.

The trip not only provided a memorable experience but also reinforced valuable lessons about biodiversity and the importance of protecting our environment. A huge thank you to our teachers and volunteers who made this adventure possible! We can't wait for our next learning journey!
