The Yr 12 VM class have finished the mural paintings on their homeroom, and they are proud of the work they have done to put their mark on the exterior of the building. A big thanks to Taubmans Paint and the Vermont South Bunnings team for their paint donations.

Next term the Year 11 VM class are going to have a go at painting murals on their homeroom and beautifying the surrounding area by creating an indigenous garden. Applied learning enhances student engagement, improves knowledge retention and develops crucial employability skills such as communication, initiative, planning and problem solving.
You might also see in the photos two picnic tables which the Year 12 class has constructed in partnership with the Vermont Men's Shed over several visits. Through partnerships such as these students gain practical experience, enhanced engagement, and improved career
readiness, through access to real-world expertise and resources from the local community.
Our Year 12 Literacy students have been getting their hands dirty and their minds growing through an engaging and applied learning project. As part of following and writing instructions, students have prepared garden beds, planted a variety of seeds, transplanted sprouted seedlings, raked and spread mulch, and carefully added straw to protect their new plants.
This hand-on activity has not only strengthened their literacy and communication skills, but also taught valuable life skills in teamwork, problem-solving, and resilience.
We love seeing our students thrive in meaningful, real-world learning experiences.
