The end of the term in nigh, and here are a few end of term reminders:
The end of year, Year 9 Camp Phillip Island Camp is currently fully subscribed. Thank you to parents for indicating your student’s attendance and for paying deposits to ensure the camp goes ahead. This gives us all something to look forward to when it’s summer in Term 4.
Students do not like being pulled up for being out of uniform. The best way for them to avoid this, is by wearing the correct uniform. Lunch-time detentions are usually the consequence without a reasonable parent note from home. Please note that VSC rugby tops are only to be worn as part of the PE uniform on the timetabled day students have PE.
Black track-suit pants are not part of the VSC uniform at all and should not be worn. Hoodies of any description (even when it’s cold) are not part of the uniform. Similarly, visible long sleeve tshirt-type tops are not to be worn under short sleeve tops. Woollen school navy jumpers, zip-front school jackets/rain jackets are part of the school uniform and should be the only tops worn on non-PE school days.
In some cases of well-being, we may be able to assist some families provide uniform items for their students. Students should contact their student manager if this is the case. It would be greatly appreciated if parents could ensure that students come to school in the correct uniform (preferably named items, in case of loss).
Students have all now commenced their second semester elective classes. This is a great opportunity to expand your friendship group and make new connections.Next term students should start thinking about the elective subjects they might study in Year 10.
Well done everybody on a successful semester. Stay warm!
