Welcome Back to Term 3

Staffing Changes

It is my pleasure to welcome Louisa Sgambelluri to the College. Ms. Sgambelluri will be undertaking the English and HASS teaching position this semester while Dr. Henderson is on long service leave. Ms. Sgambelluri has undertaken relief at the school in previous years; she brings with her a wealth of experience, and it is great to have her back with us again. We would like to take this opportunity to wish Dr. Henderson all the best for her well-earned long service leave.

A special welcome back to Jake Williams as he returns to the classroom to resume his Mathematics and Physical Education teaching role. As many are aware, Mr. Williams spent Semester 1 teaching in the Trades area. I know that Mr. Williams enjoyed teaching trades and have no doubt that the experience will further enrich his Mathematics teaching. We would like to thank Beth Thompson (Mathematics) and Brittany Fairhall (Physical Education) for filling in during Semester 1 in a fixed-term capacity.

Year 12 Students

Year 12 students are reminded that they have a maximum of ten weeks of classes left (for most students, this will probably only be the 9 weeks remaining of this term). Students should be using this time to put in their best effort into their schoolwork to ensure they achieve the very best results they can. Carefully considering their Semester 1 report and grades will assist students in identifying areas they need to focus on.

Congratulations to those students who have received excellent Semester 1 Reports. They now need to ensure they remain focused until the very end of the term, as a poor result in an assessment can greatly affect their achievement in the subject. Students are encouraged to have regular conversations with their teachers to ensure they are progressing towards the grades they need to achieve graduation.
