This Week's Updates

 Dear Families,

After what has been a long and busy 11-week term, the upcoming break will be welcomed by families  — a temporary reprieve from early morning alarms, packing school lunches, and the ongoing juggle of after-school activities and sporting commitments. We hope the holidays bring you all a chance to slow down, recharge, and enjoy some unstructured time together.

Thank you for your continued support throughout the term — we’ve achieved a lot as a school community, and we look forward to everyone returning refreshed for a new term.

School Reports

All student reports will be uploaded to the parent nforma app this afternoon and should be accessible by 5pm.

Please refer to the operoo message Nadine Jones will send out today for further information and remember to celebrate your child's achievements this semester.

School Closure Day - Monday July 21

Please note that Monday 21 July is a pupil free day. MACSEYE will be open to accommodate your children.  Please register your children here if you require this service.

If you have any questions you can email MACSEYE directly at  enrolments@macseye.vic.edu.au

St James Concert Production -

Our preparations for our concert ‘A World for Everyone - The Journey of a Magic Suitcase’ are coming along really well and the excitement is certainly building! Please refer to the information below for details that are important to note for the concert evenings.

Ticket Sales

  • These will be made available on the First Tuesday back next term at 4pm.
  • The cost of each seat will be $25.00. Of course St James students are not required to purchase a ticket because we will be supervising them as they sit in our designated audience area.
  • If every family purchased 6 seats then we would totally sell out the concert so the initial limit is for 6 seats per family over the two nights. Additional seats may be purchased if there are any remaining after the cut off date.
  • The price of tickets will cover approximately 75% of the total production costs which include: venue hire for the rehearsal day and 2 nights, lighting and sound at the venue, buses to and from the rehearsal, choreographer and dance teacher costs, costume costs and prop costs.
  • The school has a budget to pay for approx 25 % of the concert costs.

Tickets will go on sale at 4pm on Tuesday 22 July. The booking link will be shared in our newsletter on Monday 21 July.

Thank you for the donations of the grocery items for our St Vinnies Winter appeal. They were gratefully received by Ross Hancock  after our Feast of the Sacred Heart Mass on Friday. The class baskets were overflowing; such a generous effort by our entire St James community.
