Acting Principal Message

Fee Contributions

2024 School Fee contributions were uploaded onto Compass this week - Course Confirmation/School payments.  Schools provide students with free instruction to fulfil the standard Victorian curriculum.  However, this does not provide for curriculum consumables and other classroom materials.  The ongoing support of our families ensures that our school can offer the best possible education and support for our students.  As part of the school fees, this includes all required student stationery and books for 2024, which are ordered in bulk by the school to enable discounted prices.  In line with most other schools, these stationery packs will be available for collection by families Tuesday 12 December, so that students can personalise book covers etc. during the holidays. Further information regarding collection will be provided in due course.

Planning for 2024

Planning processes for 2024 are continuing with the teachers now working together to form class group for next year. The educational needs of all students, consideration of students’ friendships and some of the parent feedback and request are all taken into account in this process.

Meet the Teacher

Class groups for 2024 will be announced on Monday 11th December. On Tuesday 12th December, students will have the opportunity to meet their new teacher and familiarise themselves with their new classmates, room environment and learning expectations for 2024.

Twilight Carnival is fast approaching, only two weeks to go!

The Twilight Carnival, will be held on Friday 1st December.  We are looking forward to this well-loved community event that attracts a few thousand people each year.  This year we have over 11 rides, a variety of cultural foods, a choice of many food trucks, market stalls and a number of student musical performances. A reminder to purchase your ride tickets for our school carnival. If parents purchase tickets now, they are discounted (Full Access $45 and Restricted pass $35), however you may purchase on the day at full price (Full Access pass $50 and Restricted pass at $40). Ticket purchases using this trybooking link: https://www.trybooking.com/CNAHG. Each year we ask our community for donations to support carnival activities - Chocolate Toss - chocolate bars, soft drinks for sale and any items that we can include in our Silent Auction (e.g. vouchers)

Hats

At the moment we are seeing an increase in the number of students not wearing a hat when playing outside. Students have been reminded if they don't have a hat, they will need to go to the designated UNDERCOVER areas to protect themselves from the sun. See map below.

All students are required to bring a school hat to school each day during Term 4. PSW in Springvale Road (behind Officeworks) is the place to shop for all school uniform items.

School Council Meeting

School Council Meeting is on Monday 20th November at 7pm.
