World Teachers' Day

I would like to start this week's newsletter with a thank you to our amazing HEPS staff. Our teachers give above and beyond the classroom role to ensure that our students are recognised as individuals; that they are heard, cared about and have educational opportunities delivered at point of need. Our staff enthusiastically give their time for camps, after school events, productions and continue to be active learners themselves. All of this creates our wonderful HEPS learning environment. Thank you.

Class Structure 2024

The class structure for HEPS in 2024 will be across 26 classes. The specialist areas providing the opportunity for students to grow and flourish in wider curriculum areas, with PE, Music, Art, STEAM and Sustainability as full year subjects and Japanese as a fortnightly subject. The class breakdown will be 4 x Foundation, 4 x Grade 1s, 4 x Grade 2s, 3 x Grade 3s, 3 x Grade 4s, 4 x Grade 5s and 4 x Grade 6s.

The staffing of these classes is not yet finalised. This information will be communicated closer to the end of the year.

As we are about to begin the lengthy, considered creation of our 2024 classes, we ask that if you are intending to leave HEPS that you let the office know, and if you know of anyone who is intending to send their child to HEPS but is not currently enrolled can you please encourage them to do so. It is important that we are able to consider all children as individuals, classes and as cohorts to continue to provide the best education possible.
