Dear Parents and Carers
Last Friday, we celebrated Grandparents and Great People Day and welcomed many of them to St Joseph's.
We gathered to give thanks for, celebrate, and bless our grandparents. Grandparents hold a special place in the lives and hearts of our students. Thank you to all of the Grandparents and Great people who joined our school community on Friday to participate in the liturgy, classroom visits and picnic with grandchildren.
Grandparents and Great People day was full of joy and excitement. It was such a special event, mainly because we had the chance to show our Grandparents and Great People our work and play a fun maths game with them. We also got to celebrate them during the liturgy and express in prayer how much we truly appreciate and love them. Grandparents are the most incredible people in a grandchild’s life, so thank you for making this day so special.

2024 Kinder Parent Night
Last Thursday evening we welcomed Kinder parents of 2024 to SJB. The information evening was a wonderful opportunity to discuss our vision for quality Catholic education and what this looks like within our school. The evening also provided parents with the opportunity to participate in workshops and to engage with other parents.
Starting school is an exciting time for families and we look forward to continuing to warmly welcome our new families to our wonderful school community. Thank you to the parents and staff who were able to attend.
Welcome to our Kinder 2024 children
We have welcomed our Kinder 2024 children to their playgroup sessions. We have had very excited and slightly nervous children - and parents, who have thoroughly enjoyed meeting new classmates and other parents. We particularly welcome our newest parents to St Joseph’s and know you will enjoy the community and opportunity for your child to grow and learn in our rich and vibrant Catholic community.
For all things at St Joseph's, we give thanks.

How does my child receive a Principal's Award?
Class teachers nominate students for Blue Merit Awards which are presented at the weekly assembly. When five Blue Merit Awards have been received, students send them to the school office to be recorded and are then eligible for a Principal’s Award. When students attain their 4th Principal Award, they are awarded a Principal’s Medallion at an assembly. End of Term awards can be included as part of the 5 awards.
Acknowledgement to Country
