5/6FA Learning

Mr Anania

Last week Grade 5 and 6 went to camp at The Ranch -  Mornington Peninsula. The camp was a horse riding camp with outdoor activities to compliment the experience. All our senior students had a wonderful time learning how to ride a horse in particular, mounting, turning and stopping. The scenic horse ride through the beautiful and picturesque countryside of the campgrounds, became a talking point for all our students during camp. Our senior students were also challenged by the various outdoor activities like, Giant Swing, Rock Climbing, Hut Building, Orienteering and Crate Stacking. Also on Tuesday night students were given the opportunity to present a small concert item. Acts included dancing and comedy which provided lots of laughs. It was pleasing to hear that our senior students returned with positive and happy memories of camp this year. The senior teachers and staff who attended camp were so proud of the way our students behaved and took part in all activities with a positive attitude.

Below are some comments by students about their experience on Camp.

Eden- I loved spending time with friends and completing all the activities.

Lucinda- I enjoyed learning about the horses and riding them. I want to take up horse riding in the future.
