Important Notices for Next Week
Dear Families and Friends,
As I said this Monday morning at our usual school gathering, we are now at the halfway point of the term and we are already talking about many of the things we will need to put in place for 2024. Our new Prep families have been coming in each week for their transition days, we are working out our student numbers and class groupings for next year determining which teachers will be teaching where, as well as so many other important aspects of planning for a new school year. All those things must be done of course, but we also need to make sure all the important things we need to do before the end of term are kept at the forefront of our minds, so that we can have a smooth end to the year.
We are continuing to meet with new families even at this late stage of the year which is an extremely positive sign that our school is being spoken about in such a positive way especially in our local kinders and wider community. Of course like other years we will also have to sadly say farewell to some families who may be moving to a new suburb and therefore having to change schools. I have included again below and will email all families so that we can get a clear idea of the final numbers for next year. We do know that we will be increasing our classes and this can raise some challenges in finding space to accomodate this growth. We currently have a Government grant application in place to begin our school's masterplan and have our fingers crossed that we might be successful.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and commitment to our school as this is what makes us special and I think what is ultimately the reason people choose our school for their children.
2024 Intentions
We now have just over 40 families who have respoinded to the 2024 Intentions form.
If one parent per family could complete this 2024 INTENTIONS FORM that would be great.
World Teachers Day
Last week was World Teacher's Day and so on behalf of our whole school community I would like to say a massive thank you to all the staff at Trinty, we are all teachers here, Classroom Teachers, Specialists, LSOs and Admin Staff. Thank you all for the work you do each day in looking after our children, teaching them so many important things along the way and for doing so many things above and beyond what you are all paid to do.
Child Safety: Mandatory Reporting
Mandatory reporting laws require specified individuals to report known or suspected cases of specified types of child abuse and neglect to government authorities. The laws usually specify these individuals on the basis that they work in an occupation dealing with children in the course of their work. They are therefore well-placed to detect cases, or suspected cases, of child abuse and neglect (Mathews, 2014a).
Each year every staff member at Trinity must complete an online Mandatory Reporting Learning Module. This module is designed to ensure all staff are aware of their responsibilities in identifying and responding to child safety matters. Whilst only teachers are mandated to make reports all staff at Trinity are responsible for child safety in line with our school Child Safety Policy and therefore complete the learning.
