Music in French
En avant la musique! This term Foundation and Grade 1 students are doing music in French with Sarah Carso. Sarah is a professional French musique teacher introducing our students to music instuments in French and teaching them French songs on animals, colours, alphabet letters and numbers.
Sarah and Madame Cecile are working closely together to make learning French fun and to help the students remember some notions learned in the classroom through music. Sarah is also teaching the children some music notions in French, like instrument families, using different percussions to start her class (eggs, castagnettes).
She always finishes her class playing a different instrument each week and letting the children have a go. She has already presented the xylophone and la flute traversiere.
Our lucky students are enjoying these sessions.
