Hello, from Carolyn.
Respect, responsibility and kindness
Hello everyone and welcome back for Term 3!
It's time to enrol!
A reminder that if you have a child starting school with us in 2027, fill out an enrolment form as soon as you can and return it to the office. You can pick up enrolment forms from the office or they are available from our website.
Updating our Bullying Prevention Policy.
Our Bullying Prevention and Intervention Policy has recently been updated to reflect the latest Victorian Government guidance. The policy reinforces our commitment to preventing bullying through the explicit teaching of respectful relationships, early intervention and clear processes for responding to bullying when it occurs. It is important to remember that bullying is different from everyday conflict or friendship disagreements. While conflict is a normal part of learning and growing, bullying involves repeated behaviour that causes harm and requires a different response. We value the important partnership between home and school in supporting student wellbeing. If you have concerns about your child's wellbeing or believe they may be experiencing bullying, please contact your child's classroom teacher or a member of the leadership team. The updated policy is available on our school website, please take some time to read it and let me know if you have any feedback.
Stopwork Thursday 23 July.
I emailed you all yesterday about the planned stopwork next Thursday. I will update you as soon as I have further information.
Supporting Hannah Myran's fundraiser, a message from Hannah.
"On August 22nd I will be walking 20km from Crusoe Reservoir to Epsom raising money for a family friend who has sadly at 32 been diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer in May. It unfortunately is terminal and as she has a 13 year old daughter, I'm raising finds to help with her ongoing education costs.
I am also cutting my long hair off as well which will be sent off to make wigs for those going through cancer treatments or suffer from Alopecia
Popele are welcome to join in on the walk if they wish to do so whether it be 1km to the whole 20km
I have the link below for the GoFundMe"
Our year 3 and 5 students will be bringing home their NAPLAN report today so make sure you check their bag!
warm regards,
Carolyn.
