JM Shield Touch Football Match
Last Tuesday, after a week of heavy rain, the much-anticipated JM Shield Touch Football match finally went ahead, bringing energy and excitement to the College. Year 12 faced off against Year 11 in a fast-paced contest that drew plenty of support from the sidelines. Both teams brought intensity and skill to the field, but it was Year 12 who proved too strong, securing a 4–2 victory.
The JM Shield was first established by the Class of 2016 Student Leadership Team, in honour of then Deputy Principal, Mr John Murphy. Since then, it has grown into a much-loved annual tradition that captures the spirit of competition and camaraderie at the College.
This year’s win sees Year 12 proudly lift the Shield, continuing the tradition of competitive but good-natured rivalry between the senior years.
