Grade 1 & 2 Learning-Plans For The Planet-NGV Excursion

Students in years1&2 had a wonderful trip to the NGV this week. The exhibition, "Plans for the planet" allowed pupils to share their viewpoint around sustainability and the impact on the world. The interactive playground was great for learning, reading and playing - we all had so much fun.

As part of our inquiry topic on Sustainability, students in grades 1 & 2 attended an excursion to the National Gallery of Victoria to experience Plans for the Planet by Swiss artist Olaf Breuning. Inspired by playgrounds and theme parks, the exhibition invites students to explore the environment in creative ways while considering issues such as deforestation, pollution and habitat loss.

Using interactive activities and swipe cards, students  problem-solved, shared their ideas for a better planet, and reflected on their relationship with the world around them.
