Science in Kinder - The Living World
Earlier this term our Kindy students planted a seed and have been observing and recording the changes in their Plant Observation Journal each week. Below you will see the growth from week 7 to week 9. Children cannot wait to take home their plant and see it continue to grow at home. Better make space in the veggie patch.

Debating
Over the last few weeks our debaters have been readily preparing for our final debates. It was a competitive round with students debating the topic that parents should have the ability to preview or restrict content their child can access online. Students conducted thorough research and presented confidently. Congratulations to Ayla Yigman, Ivy Avard, Poppy Cregan & Skylah Bassett for winning their debate and to Abby Barnden for doing a wonderful job as chairperson. We have now concluded our debates and each and every student has worked hard to build an understanding of world events, speech writing, public speaking and the ability to work in a team.. Congratulations 2025 debaters on a fantastic debating season!
Year 5 Big Write
Year 5 have worked hard in English throughout Term 3 learning about researching, paraphrasing and writing with authority. Over the past 3 weeks they have been writing an Informative Text on a topic of their choice and have become "experts" in their chosen fields. Today they started creating a "Documentary" on Canva using their informative text as the basis for their video clip. We can't wait to watch the finished products!
Yr 6 Science visit to St Mary's
Year 6 visited St Mary's to conduct a science investigation in their science labs. The experiment was to determine which material was the most absorbent and which one repelled the most water. Every student had a fantastic time and are looking forward to future visits to St Mary's in preparation for their transition to high school. Thank you to Adam Mooney and Nicole Jelbert for facilitating our visit.
