Working Together on Personalised Plans
Supporting the individual needs of every child is a shared journey between families and school. One of the key ways we do this is through Personalised Plans, which help us set goals, provide adjustments, and ensure each student is given the best opportunity to thrive.
What is a Personalised Plan?
A document that outlines the supports and adjustments in place for a student.
Plans are created for a range of reasons, including:
- Medical conditions
- Learning needs
- Sensory impairments
- Social and emotional needs
The aim is to ensure every student feels safe, supported and successful at school.
How Do Parents Get Involved?
Each year, families are invited to collaborate with the school to review their child’s plan.
Collaboration can take different forms to suit families:
- A phone call
- Email communication
A face-to-face meeting
Together we discuss:
- Current adjustments
- Future goals
- Any new information to support your child’s needs
Changes to Parent Collaboration.
In the past, all collaboration took place in Term 2.
Moving forward, we will stagger meetings across the year to make the process manageable and timely. For students with established plans, collaboration will take place at the following times:
- Stage 3 (2026 students) Term 4, 2025
- Stage 2 (2026 students) Term 1, 2026
- Stage 1 (2026 students) Term 2, 2026
Keeping in Touch
While set times are organised, we encourage families to reach out at any time if you have questions or wish to discuss your child’s plan.
A meeting will always be arranged when needed as we value your voice in shaping the best outcomes for your child.
We look forward to working in partnership with you to support every child’s learning and wellbeing.
Kind regards,
