Student Leader's Investiture

At the Student Leaders Investiture, our new leaders for 2026 pledged to do their best, promote loyalty and respect, and uphold the spirit and values of Chevalier College. It was a beautiful celebration shared with family and the school community.

On behalf of the Chevalier College community, we congratulate the Student Leadership group for 2026 and look forward to watching them thrive in their roles.

RUOK Day

R U OK? Day is an annual national day of action in Australia dedicated to suicide prevention, held on the second Thursday of September. It encourages everyone to have meaningful conversations with friends, family, colleagues, and neighbours, and to reach out to those who might be struggling with life's ups and downs. The campaign aims to create a culture of connection and support, emphasising that you don't need to be an expert to ask "Are you OK?", listen, encourage action, and check in.

This year our Osborne Captains Sophia Thompson and Hudson Lambert with the support of their Leader of House, Mr Luke Wilson took the time to raise awareness with the student body about this important initiative during the week of RUOK Day. Their awareness involved a Random Acts of Kindness Campaign including initiatives like notices encouraging students by prompting a small action:

  • Hold the door for someone.
  • Send a positive message to a friend.
  • Sit with someone new at lunch.
  • Conversation Starters Cards and a Collective Action Wall.

Respectful Relationships

On Monday 8th September, Year 10 students participated in a powerful and thought-provoking session on Respectful Relationships, led by Senior Constable Rachel Kennedy from Youth Command Southern Highlands.

The one-hour presentation aimed to support young people in navigating personal and domestic relationships. It covered key topics such as boundaries, consent, coercive control, domestic violence, service provision, and the role of a positive bystander.

Students were encouraged to reflect, engage in discussion, and develop critical thinking skills in a safe and supportive environment. The session not only raised awareness but also empowered students to recognise and foster healthy relationships in their lives.

A sincere thank you to our Year 10 cohort for their maturity and active participation throughout the presentation.
