Year 12 Recital Night

The Year 12 Recital Night will be held on the evening of Wednesday 24 September, from 7pm in the Gonzaga Barry Lecture Theatre. Entries are open to all Year 12 students who take lessons on their instrument or voice, with application forms available through the Music Office. The Year 12 Recital Night is a wonderful celebration of the musical careers of our graduating class, as they perform to an audience of family, friends and colleagues. With the most senior musicians in our College performing for the last time, this is a night not to be missed!

 

A light supper will be served following the concert.

Entries for the Year 12 Recital Night close on Thursday, 18 September at 3:15pm.

 

Chamber Choir 2026 Auditions

Students in Years 9 to11 are invited to audition for Chamber Choir!

 

Auditions will take place from 3:15pm on Monday 15 September in the Performing Arts Centre, with a sign-up sheet posted outside the Music Office. For Year 9s involved in the Years 8/9 Production, auditions will be held on Monday 15 September during lunchtime, in the Performing Arts Centre.

Chapel Choir

The Chapel Choir is open to all Years 1 to 12 students who love singing, with a focus on liturgical music. Rehearsals commence at 7:30am in the Chapel with Ms Haydon and Mr Johnston on Fridays. Chapel Choir then sings at Community Mass (commencing at 8:00am). Secondary students who sing in the choir may include this time in their Roncalli Service hours.

Spring Soiree

The Spring Soiree was a joyful celebration of music and community, showcasing the College’s largest ensembles concert of the year. From the Symphony Orchestra to the Swing Band, Treble Choir, Chamber groups and more, audiences were treated to outstanding performances, with a special farewell to our talented Year 12 musicians in their final concert. It was a memorable evening filled with talent, passion and shared pride in the arts at John XXIII College.
