SEEN: The Film Screening & Panel Discussion

We extend our thanks to everyone who made our recent Inspire event such a meaningful and impactful evening.

A special thank you to:

  • Inspire parent volunteers Sally Walters and Linda Spagnolo for their dedication in organising this important community event

  • Our College wellbeing team - Eva-Maria Catina (College Psychologist), Martin Emery (College Psychologist), and Natalie Alach (Primary School Counsellor) - for generously sharing their expertise, insights, and practical strategies during the panel discussion

  • All the parents and guardians who attended bringing their engagement, thoughtful questions, and commitment to supporting not just their own children, but our entire community of young people.

The evening began with a screening of the acclaimed documentary SEEN: The Film, which reminded us that parenting has never been easy, and while advice about how best to raise and support our children is not new, this film offers something quite special. Through compelling interviews and storytelling, it helps parents understand how their own experiences fundamentally impact their approach to parenting, highlighting the critical importance of connection, vulnerability, and truly being seen and understood.

The post-screening panel discussion provided an invaluable opportunity for our community to explore the film's themes together, with our wellbeing professionals offering both expertise and deep understanding of our school community. The conversations continued over refreshments, where many found those one-on-one exchanges that often prove most meaningful.

These Inspire events, funded by the Parents' Association, bring together speakers and educators to discuss vital social topics impacting young people and their families, helping us all achieve the most positive and healthy outcomes for our students.

Thank you for being part of this important conversation about supporting our young people's wellbeing.

Parents Events

We want to extend our thanks to our dedicated PALS and Primary and Secondary Convenors who have worked tirelessly to create such memorable and engaging events for our community this term. Your creativity, enthusiasm, and commitment have brought us together in meaningful ways and strengthened the bonds within our community. As we look ahead, we're excited to share that planning is already well underway for another fantastic Term 4, with more wonderful events and opportunities for connection on the horizon.

Thank you for making our community such a vibrant and welcoming place for everyone.
