OLSS Stars Shine at District Soccer Competition
The Our Lady ‘Stars’ shone brightly at the district soccer competition held in Wonthaggi today.
Our first game was a nail-biter, with OLSS taking an early lead. Unfortunately, Wonthaggi Primary School scored a last-minute goal, narrowly winning the match.
The second game against Bass Valley 2 was a sensational success for OLSS, finishing with a strong 3–0 victory. In our final match, we faced Bass Valley 1 and experienced a reversal of fortunes, going down 0–3.
Throughout the day, OLSS students demonstrated outstanding teamwork and sportsmanship. They supported one another and showed great respect by congratulating the opposing teams after each game.
A special thank you goes to our coach and captain, Elliott, who, despite being unable to play due to injury, dedicated his lunchtimes to support and mentor the team. We also thank our special guest, Edie, whose help with positioning, coaching, and encouragement made a big difference on the day.
Well done to all the students who participated—you represented OLSS with pride!
