Wednesday - Year 6 Mary MacKillop Discovery Day

On Wednesday, our Grade 6 students travelled to Leongatha to participate in Mary MacKillop Catholic Regional College Activity Day. Students participated in Science and Art lessons and thoroughly enjoyed a taste of life at Secondary School.

Thursday -  Colonial History Excursion

On Thursday, the Senior Students walked to Berninneit Cultural Centre, to participate in an excursion run by The Phillip Island and District Historical Society. This activity supported our Term Two Inquiry learning on Australia's Colonial History: Local, National and Aboriginal perspectives. 

The Senior students represented our school very well, with their genuine interest and intrigue in the historical society's artifacts and archives. The Seniors have learnt some terrific information about Phillip Island's rich and diverse history, and came back to school with new learning and interesting questions about life and changes over time since colonial settlement.
