Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Carers and Community Members,

I hope this message finds you well. As we move through Term 2, it has been wonderful to see our school buzzing with activity, spirit and community connection. I want to take a moment to reflect on some of the memorable events we’ve shared recently.

Mother’s Day Breakfast: We were thrilled to host our annual Mother’s Day event with a twist. We shifted from an afternoon tea to a breakfast which saw 79 families join us for this event! It was a beautiful morning filled with smiles, conversation and gratitude. Seeing so many mothers, grandmothers and carers enjoying a meal with their children was a heartwarming reminder of the strong, supportive relationships that shape our students’ lives. Thank you to all who attended—and to our incredible staff and volunteers who helped make the event so special.

Education Support Staff Day: Last week, we celebrated Education Support Staff Day—a time to acknowledge and thank the incredible individuals who work behind the scenes and alongside our teachers to ensure every child receives the care and support they need. From classroom aides and office staff to our Librarian, we are truly grateful for their dedication and the important role they play in our school’s success.

House Athletics Day: Our whole-school House Athletics Day was a standout moment this term. It was fantastic to see students of all ages giving their best, cheering each other on, and proudly wearing their house colours. The energy, sportsmanship and team spirit on display made it a day to remember. Congratulations to Banksia for defeating the reigning champions, Heath, at this year’s House Athletics Day. A big thank you to Mr Oldaker for the organisation of the event, to all the parent volunteers at the event and to the families who came along to support and encourage.

Staffing Updates

Over the course of the year, we have had some new faces join our team. We have welcomed three new Integration Aides to our staff in 2025 – Demi Westlake, Jane Dyson and Monique Ebert. Each of them brings unique strengths and a range of experiences to the role. They’ve quickly become valued members of our school community, and we’re excited about the care and support they bring to our students each day.

This week we say a heartfelt thank you and farewell to Nelly Wright, who has been a wonderful support in our front office. Nelly has brought great energy and care to her role, and we wish her every success as she moves on to new opportunities.

We are also pleased to welcome Julie Rossborough-Bowman as our new Administrative Assistant, starting Tuesday 10th June in the Front Office. Julie brings over 30 years of experience across various industries and will be a warm presence at our front desk each day. We’re excited to have her join our school community and encourage you to take a moment to stop by, say hello, and give her a warm welcome!

2026 Prep Enrolments

With Prep 2026 enrolments now open, we are continuing to host tours on a weekly basis, with over 50 families coming along to check out our wonderful school. There are four more tours left for this term, with spaces available. Families can book a tour using this link

If there are any families currently at the school with a child who will be joining us in 2026, we ask that you kindly grab an Enrolment Form from the front office so we can get a better gauge on our 2026 Prep enrolment numbers. If you are unsure of whether your child will be joining us in 2026 or looking at repeating another year of Four-Year-Old Kindergarten, please reach out so we can support you with this important decision.

We have some wonderful events lined up for the rest of this term including Family BINGO Night on Friday 13th June, Sushi Day Lunch on Wednesday 18th June, Open Classrooms Afternoon on Monday 23rd June and Seaford Park Has Got Talent Show on Friday 27th June. More information about all events are coming soon. A reminder that this Friday 6th June is a Curriculum Day and Monday 9th June is a Public Holiday.

As always, thank you for your continued support and involvement in our school community. It is through these events and partnerships that we continue to grow as a connected, caring school community!

Kind regards,

Stephania Johnson-Turner
